Ubiquity White Compilation includes all exclusive previously unreleased tracks, and some mixes that will ONLY be found on this compilation.

Heavyweight soulsters SA-RA Creative Partners and PPP drop brand new exclusives from their highly-anticipated upcoming albums penciled in for release in early 2009. Nino Moschella presents a brand new lo-fi funky song from his awesome upcoming album, while the unstoppable Shawn Lee collaborates with both European soul star Nicole Willis (from his forthcoming “Soul In The Hole” soul-tribute album) and Desert-dwelling mad-genius Clutchy Hopkins (from their collaboration album called Clutch of The Tiger). LA-based soul-boy Damon Aaron is set to release his debut Ubiquity album this Fall, and his call for peace, “Better”, is remixed exclusively for this comp by our own Eric Lau. Our last release of 2009 will be a “best of” Greyboy called 15 Years of West Coast Cool. Featured on the comp are 3 previously unreleased tracks, including a collaboration with Detroit soulcrooner Jeremy Ellis which is included here. Lastly The Lions drop a nasty dubbed out version of “Cumbia Del Leon” from their Jungle Struttin’ album. Get the mp3’s here.

Hailing from the same Bed-Stuy blocks where The Notorious B.I.G. once roamed comes Spec Boogie, master storyteller and shit-talker extraordinaire. Equally adept at both razor-tongued braggadocio and introspective commentary, he is an artist that shadowboxes his way out of easy classification. Neither preachy nor sensationalist, Spec Boogies remarkable sincerity is the thread that weaves together his music — even the songs that deal with less-than-weighty subject matter inherit the trait of real honesty. Nut-grabbing boasts and masochistic posturing are staples of Hip-Hop, but when Spec Boogie says hes going to throw back a case of Sierra Nevada and steal your woman, goddamn it, you believe it. And when he talks about the tragic moments his young eyes have seen, the phrase old soul seems truly appropriate. A former member of The Sandhogs, a group which included indie favorite Tes-1, Spec Boogie relocated to The City of Brotherly Love in his late teens and eventually connected with Philadelphia heroes ?uestlove and the Grammy Award-winning Roots crew. Polishing his live stage show under the tutelage of the masters, he performed in both Philly and New York during the wildly successful 2000 Okayplayer Tour. But Brooklyn beckoned. Spec Boogie returned home and joined with several like-minded souls to found Loosie Music, a fiercely independent record label, online magazine and booze-addled political cabal. The fledgling label hooked up with Lower East Side boutique Staple Design to release the Grow single, a track that earned Spec Boogie a deluge of critical acclaim and immediately put him on the radar of indie Hip-Hop aficionados as far away as France and Japan. The buzz proved justified, as his dynamic first full-length compilation of material, Fresh Out the Box, moved several thousand copies as a promotional item with Digitalgravel-dot-com and Scifen Clothing. A brilliant live entertainer, Spec Boogie has delivered memorable performances at venues such as Nokia Theatre in Times Square, The Wetlands, Nuyorican Poets Café, Southpaw, The Knitting Factory and Hammerstein Music Hall alongside artists including The Roots, Mark Ronson, Melle Mel, Platinum Pied Pipers, Purple City, Theodore Unit, MF Doom, Little Brother, Pete Rock and Big Daddy Kane. Armed with an Ensoniq ASR-88, a few records, and a computer, Trackademicks has begun to capture the attention of those who keep their ear to the beat, effectively articulating himself through sound to others. In a climate where producers and artists pride themselves on having a particular sound, he brings a tremendous amount of variety to the table. Hailing from Alameda, an island located off the coast of Oakland, CA, Trackademicks makes music driven by the same philosophy that made him; mix it up. Born to a Filipino father from the Bay Area and a Black mother from Richmond, VA, his cultural diversity inherently translates itself into the music. Like California Cuisine, he takes ingredients and influences from all over to add to our local tastes and create something appealing to everyone.
Taking cue from his parents modest record collection, Trackademicks musical influences have always spanned the musical spectrum. Long before hip-hop became his creative point of reference, artists ranging from Sergio Mendes, The Doors, Sade, Bob James, to Tears For Fears, Wham!, and Cherelle made their impact on this grade school band student. It wouldnt be long, though, before the independent spirit of the thriving mid-90s Bay Areas rap scene would take its hold on Trackademicks. This interest in hip-hop would quickly grow beyond the local scene. With all of these different influences present in his music, Trackademicks is one of many helping to change the soundscape of popular culture by changing the way culture is presented in music.
Whether he’s remixing artists across the international dateline or doing tracks for artists across the Bay Bridge, Trackademicks represents a progressive school of thought that is not held captive to preexisting musical boundaries. And in that school, Trackademicks is a star student. As member of the Honor Roll, an East Bay Area-based collective, he and his peers are building upon the foundation that was laid by artists such as the Neptunes, Andre 3000, and Kanye West, whove expanded the definition of what hip-hop can be on a mainstream level. In an industry where the streets are gridlocked with artists, Trackademicks has decided to take the freeway… and there seems to be no traffic at all.

Heard some good news from the man Kenny Fresh @ Bling47.com

PPP will be a dropping their first single from Abundance on July 8th, which will be followed up by the album’s release on October 7th. As for the sound of the album - you can expect some 60’s doo wop, string sections, hip-hop, rock, and Detroit techno all rolled into one - all with a PPP twist on it, of course.

Kenny Fresh and the Bling47 fam also got that Open Your Eyes (Bobby Caldwell) Remix Feat. Elleeud A.K.A Andwele Gardner A.K.A Dwele on their myspace. You should already know you could also find some Bling47 gems on Moovmnt.com.
