You may know Ohmega from his albums “The Find” (2005) and “Watts Happening” (2007) on Ubiquity Records. In turn you may have heard of Ragen through her work with artists such as Living Legends, Braille, Tanya Morgan and DJ Jamad & Nicolay. The two first worked together on “Watts Happening” and then proceeded to work on a 3 track EP which over time turned into the M64 project. Today marks their first official release “Rhythm Of The Drum” b/w “In The Pocket”, which is being released on Record Breakin’ Music as a limited edition 7″ single as well as a digital download. Keep an eye out for M64 as they’re currently working on a full length album which is set to drop later this year.

For those who have never heard of André Orefjard before here’s the 411. André grew up in a diverse cultural suburban area in Stockholm, Sweden. He grew up to the sounds of Manu Dibango and Marvin Gaye, but soon started listening to hiphop like De La Soul and A Tribe Called Quest.
André then moved to New York and in the year 2000 André released his debut EP, “Back on Track”. This EP caught the attention of – London based label – Nuphonic, where he was signed. The same year “Things Do Not Appear” was included on the compilation “Nuphonic 4”. Shortly after that André was also featured on the compilation “Bass-Ment Classics” on the swedish label Raw Fusion with a sick remix of “I’ll Do That”.
Now a year later the magnificent “Refreshment of Thoughts” album dropped and “Realize” is the most tremendous joint on there so peep it! I was stunned to see that an artists of this capacity is nowhere to be found on the Internet so we hope we can get some eyes on this guy. Go to iTunes to get some of his music and please use Google to find you some more.

His productions run from 8-bit classics to seductive soul to raw grungy bangers. “May The Force” falls into the latter of these styles and is an extra heavy, deeply compressed rocker which switches between a chop up of the Star Wars (Death Star) OST and a lofi rendition of the same piece. You can get the Producer #2 release now on Fat City..
Mr.Dibiase didn’t make the deadline for the Flying Lotus EP 3×3 release. So we got the Flying Lotus – Camel (Dibiase Remix) as an exclusive. The EP will be out August 19 on Warp Records. Big shoutout to Mr. Dibiase, Joe Kay and Ras G…AIRHORN!!

Reggie B has that killer voice, plays funky like no other and he’s part of the INnatesounds Crew. That combination alone should be lethal as hell, but not everybody is picking up on this talented artist yet. Earlier today I noticed that Reggie dropped a little sumting on Twitter. I wanted to share it with ya’ll so enjoy “A Few Steps Forward” (produced by Saadiq from Platinum Pied Pipers) and “Get Down With Me” both from the forthcoming “Get Down With Me” album released on their own INnatesounds label. Get your ass ta steppin’ and buy Reggie’s new album on iTunes. Just had to add a sneak preview, cuz “Outergalactic Funk” is exactly what some of you cats wanted to hear!

[audio:http://www.moovmnt.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/reggie-b-get-down-with-me.mp3]This time the slept on sunday is composer, songwriter and vocalist Aqeel , hailing from Los Angeles, California.
In his early days Aqeel worked with Erykah Badu on a demo, and along side Dr. Dre on ‘The Chronic 2001’ project offering backing vocals and lyrics. In 1999 he was offered a Motown gig in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. He stayed 4 and half years honing his skills, deciding to establish himself there. In 2005 he released his debut: Beats And Voices, rated one of the best soul voices in Spain and highly praised in the Spanish media. During the recording of the record, Aqeel met Griffi, highly rated producer in Spain’s hip hop scene, who also did two of the hottest tunes on the album, after which he decided to move to Barcelona to work hand in hand with him. From there a great chemistry began. He collaborated with all the artists on the Del Palo records roster.
Make sure you check out Aqeel’s Freaktape: Inside the mind of an Afro American Angel, and his release on 4Lux “Rock Hard“.
