Fresh man Kenny emailed us today with a FRESHclusive Georgia Anne Muldrow joint. The multi-talented Ms.One dropped a sneak peak into her upcoming solo album, “Umsindo”. It’s a dedication to the African ancestors (Umsindo means “sound” in Zulu) and the song we are sharing with you is entitled “E.S.P.”. According to Kenny Umsindo comes close to the pre-Worthnothings demo/sampler which we at MOOVMNT love so much. Very excited and curious about Georgia Anne’s upcoming album…stay tuned for more info soon!

One of the west coast’s funkiest producers ever is still in the game after almost 20 years. It’s amazing how I remember DJ Quik‘s “Safe & Sound” album like it was yesterday. It was around that time I really got into hiphop so I can honestly say that was one of my first records I ever bought. Now 16 years later his brand new “Blaqkout” joint still got me kinda excited. If you heard the recent summer banger “Love” from Frank Nitt, than you’ll know why. Quik’s new album will be available worldwide as of today.

It’s still early here, but J. Kim just hit us with a huge ray of sunshine. The wonderful Karriem Riggins (as an incentive) made an exclusive track for leaking which gives the listener a hint on what to expect for the upcoming Virtuoso Experience shows, with this lovely soulful joint “Soul on Top”. For the Marvin Gaye fans, you’ll probably recognize some “I Want You” in there..

Another hectic weekend has almost come to an end. So why not end the week with a lovely SA-RA Creative Partners re-work, re-edit, remix or whatever you want to call it. Check out Eric Roberson‘s “Couldn’t Hear Me Ova The Music” in a somewhat different style, but you know when SA-RA remixes it, it must be nice as fuck. Excuse me for this short ass post, but I’m really tired. Enjoy, relax and good night..

Today has already started out to be a wonderful day…musically that is. One of Groningen’s finest Koen – also one third of Blocnotes – just hit us up with an unreleased Shawn Jackson track that (to our knowledge) was never released. Now apperently we need to keep telling ya’ll how stupidly fresh Mr. Jackson is and that he’s one of L.A.’s best. Massive shout out to our fam at Tres Records and A-Side Worldwide for keeping it live and Koen for the sickness!

First of all I want to thank Miles Bonny for providing us with some new material, and for being the amazing soul singer he is. Apparently “Nothin’ But Chu” is just Miles havin fun over a Jake One beat..nothin official..But it just was too good to remain on the shelves. While you are at it check out the Innatesounds Crew 2009 Sampler..Presented by Miles Bonny & Leonard DStroy. Innatesounds Crew is an affiliation as well as a label, dedicated to creating & spreading, to heal the wounds created by crappy music you are subjected to every moment of your life..Artwork after the jump..

Imma freak, he a freak, you a freak…everybody freak! Damn this is definetely gonna be the club banger for July. Gonna push this one so hard even if I have to hand out copies to all the best local DJ’s myself. You all know Mark Pritchard and the genius producer they call Om’Mas Keith (from SA-RA Creative Partners). These two gentleman recorded “Wind It Up” at Red Bull Music Academy’A Class Of Its Own in cologne 2007. Mike confirmed it will be released as a 12inch on Hyperdub records and allthough the audio quality isn’t that high this stream does keep you on point for the official release which we are all going to buy off course. Not sure about the release date, but probably July-ish. The release will have a Freak Mix and instrumental version on it so you know what it is son.

deborah-jordan

I can hardly remember the last time I heard a new soul track like this. Seems like the soul has died a bit if you look at how few releases are being released nowadays. Last year – former Silhouette Brown singer – Deborah Jordan appeared on Rep Life‘sElevation” and it was undoubtably time to return the favor on “Home”. Great to hear these two at it again on Deborah’s new 7inch “Nothing Lasts” with on “Home” on the b-side. Check out both the 7inch aw well as the remix 12inch on Futuristica records HERE. Consider this a mear taste of her first solo album coming out soon.

Paul White‘s debut album “The Strange Dreams of Paul White” truly sounds how you think it would sound. It can easily be called a collection of madness with a dash of humor in it. Hiphop has probably never sounded more confused about it’s own identity, but I am sure this is a perfect mix between crazyness, funkyness and electronic madness. I can’t help but love the total package that One-Handed Music is offering. Click HERE to find out all about their specials offers!

You can download the first track for free and for the right amount you can get your hands on the limited edition handmade, hand-stamped pillowcase CD. For those who have a little bit more to spend it’s even possible to spend an afternoon making beats with Paul in Lewisham with tea and quite possibly biscuits. If that’s not enough for you you can even get your very own one of a kind dubplate with 2 exclusive beats made that day that absolutely no-one else has. Thanks to Alex from One-Handed Music.
