This single will be out in five days on Dirt Tech Reck and contains two songs. The A-side contains “Scorpio” featuring Mad Mike Banks & UR-043, while the B-side is blessed with “M.F.A.” (Master Funk Association) which features Theo Parrish, Andres & Duminie. In this particular case I will be saying Tech-YES instead of Techno.

Almost uncanny how Grooveman Spot starts off on his new “Paradox” album, out on Japanese Jazzy Sport, because I always love me some good ol’ downtempo smoothness to start things off. Like he read my mind. After having heard “Groove Me” I was already sold, but as my ears wandered off they heard so much depth and warmth on this album. I can only begin to describe it as a personal journey from Beats to House music all the while flirting with some Funk. SENSE & Sotu the Traveller are a Dutch-based production duo comprised of like-minded beat creators Daniel Tiuri Wils (SENSE) and Baris Akardere (Sotu the Traveller). The pair began casually producing in 2006, contributing to each other’s projects. In rare extra studio time they experimented, building tracks and eventually developing full productions. In 2010, they officially debuted on Project Mooncircle’s compilation The Moon Comes Closer. Since then, they have enlisted guest vocalists Esperanzah (Numaads, Seravince), Hicoup and Ninthe to finalize their debut Rise & Shine on Austin, TX-based label Beats Broke.

Nice little Funk jam from Moscow’s producer Lapti. Haven’t heard a lot of Modern Funk coming out of Russia, but this is something nice you can groove to no doubt. A new The Future of Funk mix is long overdue, but now we just don’t have the time. Hopefully in a month or two, but until then enjoy this. ‘I don’t need your name, I don’t want your number’.
