Of course B. Bravo & Teeko are no strangers to most of our frequent visitors. They are releasing their “The Starship Connection” EP September 18th on Frite Nite and we can tell you it’s gonna be crackin’. If you’ve been listening to our mixes from time to time, you must have heard a few exclusive cuts on there. XLR8R was kind enough to share a free download of “More Than Just A Dream” to get you warmed up for the Funk. Good news, because “Just Like Magic” has ‘thunder thighs’ Amalia featuring on the vocal tip!

This was the first time a release was ever ‘endorsed by Moovmnt’. As a matter of fact “Love Latency” still has the most plays on our Soundcloud. Now this week Brad released his latest effort “A Lion’s Aperture” on his own bandcamp. You can listen to two of our favorite tracks below..

Normally we don’t go nuts for remixes, but I’d like to hear this at the club from time to time. No info at this point about how to get this track, but for now you’ll have to do with a stream.

HIT + RUN presents the second installment of their “Road Kill” compilation series. It features some of the heaviest producers from Los Angeles and beyond such as Houseshoes, Computer Jay, Kutmah, Darkhouse fam, Om-Unit, Strangeloop & Dibia$e. The only track that really caught our attention though is Dirg Gerner‘s “Azul y Blanco”, but the compilation is well worth a listen. Road Kill Vol.2 is available on bandcamp and on a limited-edition digipack CD as well.

Now I have to admit that I totally missed this “Elevate Me” EP on Project Mooncircle a few months back and was liking what I was hearing. Let me tell you that Take goes pretty damn hard on here. We’re not talkin about 5 simple beats, but we’re talking real music. Much respect for keeping it soulful, but also club worthy at times. In my opinion this sounds better than 95% of all the beats coming out nowadays. Well thought out concept, executed flawlessly!

Simply because every damn blog in the universe wants to be on that ‘new shit’, regardless of how good the music really sounds. Well in this case we are proud to inform you about this crackin’ “Between Friends” instrumental from FlyLo. It popped up on his Soundcloud page and seems to be co-crafted by Thundercat. Lovin’ the simplicity of the rhodes loop in combination with that sexy soothing bass…on repeat as we speak!

The “Sun Ya” album was released on Gruntstyle (Wax Poetics Japan) digitally and on CD. More info on this masterpiece soon!! For now just buy the album at and if you’re fast, grab a limited free download of one of the songs (time’s up, but either way just visit) Kan’s Soundcloud page. Wanted to add that all the vocals were sung by Kan himself. Truly magnificent!

Mr. Riggins is best known as a jazz drummer and hip-hop producer, but come October 22nd it is his time to shine with a 34-track instrumental odyssey showcasing nearly every influence on his career thus far. Now “Moogy Foog It” is om some medieval musical madness type of shit, that I can’t really wrap my head around yet. I suggest you give it a try by going ahead and grabbing that free download over at Stones Throw..

After having dropped “MPG” (which is still up for grabs on his Soundcloud page) on us, he’s now back with his debut album, “Mid One”, which is an all instrumental 11-track’er. Go ahead and check out more from Manuals Instrumental Disc One at his Bandcamp page.
