A while ago we told you about Danish producer Terry Tester and how you should watch this cat. Well earlier this week he released his debut solo EP, “Horses & Diamonds”, on Mixed Ape Music / Playground Music consisting of mostly instrumental music. On our favorite song (which we’re streaming below) we find Buscrates 16-bit Ensemble & Geeman the Grand Ear from Pittsburgh pitching in. The artwork was done by Tokio Aoyama and I think it looks really tight. To purchase this one go to or look for it at your local records shop.
Since Terry was nice enough to send us some vinyl copies, we decided to give away 1 EP to you guys. All you have to do to win is leave a comment telling us why you’d like to win this record. Make sure you use a working email address so we can get in touch if you win.
On the last day of May we’re treating you to another “Glimmering Fractions” mix. Some gems are hidden below the surface and are hard to see with the naked eye. At times this means you’ll have to look closely. Just like this emerald hidden inside calcite. We invite you to listen to this one on Soundcloud (download available) or Mixcloud (stream only).

It was already known that Evil Needle from France is not to be fucked with, but with this new leak of his upcoming “Equilibrium” album he’s just making sure ya’ll didn’t forget. Elaquent features on “Jazzolude 04” which might be a strange name for a song, but we don’t care since it sho does bang. Be on the look out for the album which will be released on HW&W Recordings.

Honestly I’m in need of a little water at the moment, because summer seems to have started here in Amsterdam. Very nice 4 track release on Soulection on a ‘name your price’ basis. Listen to “Stiller See” featuring miss Soia below and download the EP over at their Bandcamp page please.

This weed smokin’, gin drinkin’ motherf*cker from Berlin has really outdone himself with “Suff Sells”. Big up to David for really evolving musically and stunning me with not only the drunken boom bap beats we’ve grown so fond of, but also with his wide range of influences. I hear a lot of Jazz, Soul and Funk influences which are really working well I think. One of the most impressive jams on here is of course “Det2bln” featuring Phat Kat and Elzhi, so listen to a little preview. Album drops June 1st and is available digitally right now. Both vinyl & CD can be pre-ordered on his Bandcamp page as well.

And what better way to introduce the world to your sound than to drop a dope video…right? The official videoclip for the track “Q&A” (Question & Answer) dropped just now and will take you on a journey through the thoughts and believes of these three young producers.
It is officially time for Belgian producer Adriaan van de Velde aka Pomrad to bewitch you all with his “Vlotjes” EP. This 23-year-old conservatory student is bringing an interesting mix of electronic and funk music to the table and is easily compared with people such as Hudson Mohawke. All I know is that this EP will certainly make a lot of noise and will be available today via and as a limited vinyl edtion (orders@oohwee.be) as well. Oh and make sure you take a look at Pomrad’s promotional video too…after the jump.
