Fellow Dutchie, Sam A La Bamalot, from Uden is a producer who surprised a lot of people last year with his “A Bird’s Leg” release. Sam’s latest “What Happens When You Sleep” EP on Lomechanik is out as of today. Our favorite joint, “Rapid Eye Movement”, fuses the old with the new and is slighty reminiscent of a time when not everybody and they moms was making beats yet. So we’ve been warning you about this particular Kiwi for some time now. Watch out now, because Christoph El Truento‘s instrumental “EP01″ just dropped today on the Japanese Wonderful  Noise label. We’ve been waiting for this one for ages, but it seems it has been pushed back a little. No matter, because it’s now widely available on and will also be pressed on wax. Let me get back on a later note with info about where to pick up the vinyl.

Seeing it’s been pretty quiet the last days, I thought it might be an idea to let ya’ll know this guy hasn’t been sitting still. Go ahead and listen to some new music he’s been working. Sounds kinda promising if you ask and I’m curious to hear more in the future!

Our new years resolution is focussing more on top notch, warm sounding music this year. Of course this also applies to beats and other electronic music. Just received a message from Alisson Fluente aka Finese with the news he just uploaded a brand new joint called “Lembranças” which no doubt translates into something like memories. Now I hear that Florianópolis (Brazil) is one of the most beautiful places to visit, so not a big surprise where the inspiration came from. Just the kinda groove we love to hear on here, so peep it!

This past July, the Do-Over crew spent a week in the Philippines for a Manila edition of their now world renown backyard party. Alongside the usual crew they brought Beat Junkie Rhettmatic as well as Bugz in the Attic’s Daz-I-Kue along for the ride. The two teamed up with local producer Red-I and spent their spare time on the trip making music together. The result? A free download entitled The Do-Over Manila EP, featuring a variety of instrumental tracks by the three collectively as well as individually. I must admit that the download process is a bit of a hassle, but if you like what you hear it’s a small price to pay. Check it out on The Do-Over’s website.
