Another year has passed us by again. For the thrird time we’re gonna end the year with our very own ‘Best of 2011’. I gave it some thought, but decided to post a little something about the new Finest Ego compilation anyway. In all honesty this is one of the least interesting ones I’ve heard so far though. Since it was time for Germany, Austria and Switzerland to represent I had high hopes, but could only find a few mediocre productions on here. Might just be me being hard to please, but all I wanted to share with you guys was this beat from Chief. Much appreciation for the free download, but I hope in 2012 the compilations get better quality wise. Personally I’d rather hear 10 amazing productions than 33 mediocre ones. Free downloads available up till Jan. 6th so get it while it lasts.

Snap, crackle, pop…bang go the beats! Didn’t see this one coming, but the homie I.N.T. just released some banging ass beats in the form of “Christmas Wonderland” Vol. 2. I know you guys are gonna dig this one like crazy!! Incredible nice little last minute present for under the digital Christmas tree if you ask me. Don’t hesitate and cop this one for almost nothing via Bandcamp.

Most of you will remember Julien Dyne from his “Pins and Digits” EP from last year. Right before Christmas Julien is releasing his brand new “Glimpse” album on Wonderful Noise. We wrote a little something about the single several months ago in case you forgot. While Wonder Noise is taking care of the Asian side of business, BBE will be suplying the rest of the world. Rest assure there will be plenty of opportunities for you to get your grubby little hands on this release. This will be coming out on CD and digitally. A limited vinyl album sampler EP will drop somewhere in February via WN as well so keep your ear out! For now you can visit Japan and cop digitally.

Julien Dyne – So Far Ft. Mara TK [112kbps]

Astronote has been delivering top notch quality productions for many years and eventho we’re really late with this one we do want to share his latest “Weapon Of The Future” album in case you’ve missed it. Downloaded the album last week, but never got around to listening to it. I must say I quite enjoy some of these cuts featuring Edo G, Buff1, Dynas, Rasco and T Calmese. Take a listen for yourself and let us know what you think.

Mono/Poly’s new “Manifestations” EP is his debut on Flying Lotus’ Brainfeeder label. The EP is a very diverse collection of powerfull rhythms and innovative sound design. If you slept on Mono/Poly before hearing this you can catch up with Front2Blaq’s BeatScientist Mono/Poly Busy Mix. You can find a low-bitrate stream of “Needs Deodorant” below. The Mono/Poly Manifestations EP will be out April 4th.

A while ago we met up with Zed “Maddslinky” Bias at the Sound Gallery in Amsterdam. He was so kind to do a one hour mix for our Moovmnt Radio show filled with exclusives and sneak previews. If you like that UK Funky/Broken/Garage/Dubstep/Wonkey sound you’re in for a proper treat! Dave drops some fingerlickin’ tunes and we invite you to take a listen. Oh and for you Dutchies…this Friday Maddslinky will be playing at Rampage in Paradiso (Amsterdam).

All the way from Perth, Australia RBMA 2008 participant Ta-Ku hit us up with a nice new track called “Sylvia”. This is the first release off his upcoming LP “Knots” which is set to come out on Australia’s Paperchain Records in 2011. Young homey Joe Kay from Cali dropped another mix on us and we decided to host it. He named the mix “Telepathy” and it sounds hella refreshing if you ask me.
