Busy day today with  a lot of releases coming out. Almost forgot about my man Chris from Tensei, but I got you. Plug Research released their “One” EP today and we’re feeling this “For The Love” bonus track featuring Adad and Yaw. Thought we’d post about these gentlemen, who you’ll probably be hearing a lot more from this year. Shout out to Chi-Town for keeping it windy and check out their EP on . Besides being Amalia’s hubbie, the tallest man I ever picked up (and threw over my shoulder) & Tokyo Dawn’s parade horse. Peter is also a generous fellow. Interesting collaboration between Georgia Anne Muldrow and the mad professor of beats Madlib. Their new album is called “Seeds” and will be releasing March 27 on SomeOthaShip Connect. The title song has that 70’s Blaxploitation vibe to it with sick soulful horns, ill strings and Georgia’s distinctive voice. Eventhough the single, “Seeds”, won’t be out until Feb 14 on Fat Beats, an exclusive free download was made available thanks to Rolling Stone.

And there it is!! The first songs of Robert Glasper‘s upcoming “Black Radio” album set to release February 28th on Blue Note Records. I know quite some people who have been feenin’ for this one and so I am happy to be able to give you “Move Love” featuring King and “Afro Blue” featuring Erykah Badu. This past July, the Do-Over crew spent a week in the Philippines for a Manila edition of their now world renown backyard party. Alongside the usual crew they brought Beat Junkie Rhettmatic as well as Bugz in the Attic’s Daz-I-Kue along for the ride. The two teamed up with local producer Red-I and spent their spare time on the trip making music together. The result? A free download entitled The Do-Over Manila EP, featuring a variety of instrumental tracks by the three collectively as well as individually. I must admit that the download process is a bit of a hassle, but if you like what you hear it’s a small price to pay. Check it out on The Do-Over’s website.

Diggs Duke blew us away last year with his “Gravity” EP and when he emailed us he was doing a new project I was kinda excited at first. Then I heard some drafts of his “Black Gold” EP and was less impressed, for it was rather short and didn’t have that same killer vibe to it that Gravity had. Still I think you’ll enjoy the title cut and the good news is that the first 1200 people get a free download. You can either pay $0 or if you like, pay a little extra and show some love. Not a bad way to start out the new year..

Couple of hours ago Slakah the Beatchild dropped a laid back jazzy remix of Drake’s “Headlines”. Now I have nothing with or against Drake and quite honestly I just think this sounds pretty good as a whole.
