Since I have known B. Bravo he’s been in a band called the Bayonics. I’ve heard this 10 piece band play funk, latin, reggae and some hip hop live and they rock! Lead singer Rojai was mentioned on here before regarding his “Hard Pressed” EP with E-Live. It kinda makes sense for buddy Bravo to drop a remix of their “Good Love” cut from their “City Roots” EP. Luckily good love is often free, so make sure you snatch up that free download!
Young Jacob from Bristol aka Raleigh Ritchie teams up with Syd & Matt from The Internet on his latest “Black and Blue Point Two” EP.
It might sound a bit poppy for some of you, but we honestly enjoy the “Inside” remix a lot. Let us know if you guys are feeling it too. The EP is available as a free download by the way, so why don’t you give it a listen.
It seems like Coast Vega is from all over the place, but we definitely hear some Cali & ATL influences on his latest, “These Moments”, produced by German wunder-producer IAMNOBODI. This jam is by far the best and slightly reminiscent of that ol’ Andre 3000 vibe. Make sure you grab a free download and also take a listen to the rest of his recently released “Reconnected” EP, which contains productions by Sango, Rocboy, UpNorth and Bhontro.
Camden Arc is M-Phazes his brand new side project, exploring new sounds and directions. I think it’s great that producers take time to focus on recreating themselves and getting back some passion again. For his debut release “I Don’t Wanna Fall in Love” he takes an original pop classic and blasts into the future. There’s lots of interesting new elements combined and I think Camden Arc is just getting started. By the way make sure you snatch up a free download! Get ready, cuz I think some game changers are coming our way later this year.
Last month Ruth Koleva released her “R U T H” album produced by Seravince. Heard a few tracks of that one, but it never found it’s way to my inbox. No worries though, because what did make it to my HD is Eric Lau‘s remix of “Turn This Around” which is available as a free download on Ruth’s Soundcloud page. Enjoy this one!
With joy we present to you “Various Assets: New York 2013” containing exclusive material that was made, during the Red Bull Music Academy, in four early summer weeks in New York City last year. The compilation contains a whopping thirty songs from 62 international participants and a cast of high-profile studio team members. Of course homeboy Dâm-Funk represents the Funk with the mindblower “No More Love”. Also feel free to discover music from August Rosenbaum, Jameszoo, Thundercat and a gang of other musicians for free. Mind you…download at your own risk!
When Virginia-based rapper GoldLink and Danish producers Galimatias & Joppe linked, “One Step Back”, was the result. GoldLink’s forthcoming project “The God Complex” is due this spring, but till then vibe out to this non-album joint that’s available for ya’ll as a free download via Soulection!
Our good friend Leno from Jakarta’s The Goodnws, hit me up to share the “Proportions” album from Exmag. Instantly tickling my ear, so here’s the 411! The group consists of Eric, Mike, Denis aka Gramatik Tyler aka SuperNicer and Bryn aka ILLUMNTR from Brooklyn NY. What they bring you is that soulful sound of the future. Fortunately for us they do so in the form of a gift. To get your hands on a free download just visit their Soundcloud page and hit the free download button. Their philosophy is “All art should be free. Donate to help create a better future for those who once were”. Of course a donation was made from the Moovmnt camp!
More freshness from Frisco as our good friend B. Bravo teams up with the lovely Reva DeVito and showe us with “Kisses”. We have HW&W to thank for the fact these kisses are free of charge! Snatch up your free download like this!
It’s been a looooong time since I spoke to Chris from Frankfurt, but this guy has been putting in some work and is getting quite good. His latest “Outside In The Rain” jam is available as a free download, so get yours while supplies last. My advise is to keep an ear out for Frankfurt Frank. He surely got the Funk!
