Most of the songs on the new “Our Nest” Vol. 1 compilation on Earnest Endeavours were already keeping our HD warm and fuzzy. However this is a great ‘name your price’ opportunity to score these. A nice little gathering of artists such as B. Bravo, Darkhouse Fam, J Todd, SelfSays, Shigeto, Kienra and more.

I was in doubt whether or not we should post about this, but the verdict is…yes. Kutmah selected over 20 tracks for you to enjoy, ranging from FlyLo & Samiyam to HudMo & fLako. Overall not the illest compilation on Brownswood, but since I decided I’m flying out to LA again this summer Shash’U’s “LA” convinced me. You can purchase the compilation on in case you were wondering. Shout out to all my fam in LA…imma be out there soon.

By the way in case you were wondering…it’s Brian Elstak who’s responsible for the painting used for the artwork. This one is being released through Kilawatt Music and is available digitally on right now.

It was released last month on Hyperdub Records and kind of slipped our ears so to speak. However this album is surely not to be slept on I tell ya. There’s a few hidden gems to be found on here featuring a bunch of incredibly talented artists such as Vikter Duplaix, Fatima, Muhsinah, Zaki Ibrahim, Natalie Maddix, Cornelia & AL. Below you’ll also find DVA’s latest video of “Why U Do”. Oh and head on over to if you’d like to purchase please.

Just realized that Hawthorne Headhunters‘ full-length album “Myriad of Now” released today on Plug Research. There’s some nice new music on here as well as some older stuff as well, I remember “Luv Galactic” finding it’s way to us a few years back and I could swear DaM-FunK had a feature on there as well. A song I hadn’t heard before, but immediatly stood out is “Sum People Don’t Change”. Thanks to the good people of Plug Research for giving away “Yellow Cougar” as a free download. Go ahead and buy the full-length album on , it’s pretty good.

Their song “Keep Up” is on a different vibe (a little more pop) then we’re used to, but still sounds fresh though. Somehow this is slightly reminiscent of some MJ Cole meets Jazzanova type of music, but still Slakah at the same time. Let us know what you think about this one and in case you’d like to support, you can purchase on Bandcamp.

Last week we introduced this new producer hailing from the city of Antwerp. What can we say? This kid has the funk as proven on the instrumental song “Dans” (which means dance). The whole Moovmnt gang is now anxiously awaiting his “Vlotjes” EP coming out on OohWee Records May 11th.

Hopefully this is going to change with his latest 12″ single “Pretend” featuring Mar on the vocals. The original version is kinda on the smooth tip, but wait till you get to the two remixes on here! First we have Kan Sano coming with a beautiful feel good remix that sounds magical at times. As if that wasn’t enough we also have Julien Dyne droppin’ a heavy synth-filled remix that will knock your socks right off. You might have heard me play this in last January’s “Glimmering Fractions” mix, but it’s out officially via Wonderful Noise. Be on the look out for that at your local record shop or go ahead and order it at Rush Hour!

Pretty cool freebie in celebration of their 15 year anniversary with music from our buddy Anthony Valadez with Miles Bonny, Hawthorne Headhunters, Sonnymoon, Tensei and Sene. For a free download of this 12-track compilation, just head on over to the Plug Research site
