More Funk coming your way this time from Australia’s Inkswel. This new banger, “So Over It”, featuring Reggie B is straight butta! Watch out for this 7″ vinyl release on the brand new Hot Shot Records label.

Not much is known about Maseratay, but what we do know is that they’re releasing their debut vinyl 12″ this Fall on On-Point Records. Most wonderful Funk music probably coming out of Belgium, but more info coming soon! There’s also a remix by Inkswel & Kid Sublime featuring Charli James which sounds pretty nice as well, but listen to the full preview on Soundcloud.

Now Modlee has clearly been experimenting with styles lately, which I think is cool. But after Erykah Badu and Fatima…we wonder who’s next?

Haven’t heard a lot of Modern Funk coming out of Russia, but this is something nice you can groove to no doubt. A new The Future of Funk mix is long overdue, but now we just don’t have the time. Hopefully in a month or two, but until then enjoy this. ‘I don’t need your name, I don’t want your number’.

Crazy raw, yet oh so soulful synth-drenched House music that will hurt your neck. The single “Dusk” is out on Wild Oates and features Jon Dixon on keys. This release is available on vinyl only so make sure you grab a copy over at Rush Hour or your local record shop.

They are releasing their “The Starship Connection” EP September 18th on Frite Nite and we can tell you it’s gonna be crackin’. If you’ve been listening to our mixes from time to time, you must have heard a few exclusive cuts on there. XLR8R was kind enough to share a free download of “More Than Just A Dream” to get you warmed up for the Funk. Good news, because “Just Like Magic” has ‘thunder thighs’ Amalia featuring on the vocal tip!

The title track sounds okay, but personally we’re digging the track “West 2 East” a lot more. Just a short snippet of what you can expect from this vinyl EP which is available on Boomkat. If you visit you can purchase the title track as a single, but the rest is only available on vinyl at the moment.

Just came across an amazing mix from French DJ/producer Breakbot entitled “The Lazy Sunday Selecta” mix. You can instantly hear somebody put some time and effort in the selection as well as in the blending. This mix contains a lot of Disco, Boogie/Funk and ends with a few sexy slow jams. Shout out to Sounds of The 70’s for sharing this on their Soundcloud page.
