DJ Rahdu and the BamaLoveSoul collective have been decreasing your harddrive space since 2008. With their latest “On Deck” 2 compilation they manage to give twelve upcoming artists, such as Rippy Austin, James Tillman, GDNA, Humus, JFinesse and Buscrates, a platform to be heard. Soulful is the keyword on this compilation released via BBE and I think they did a great job. Fresh selection with some raw elements!
It’s been a looooong time since I spoke to Chris from Frankfurt, but this guy has been putting in some work and is getting quite good. His latest “Outside In The Rain” jam is available as a free download, so get yours while supplies last. My advise is to keep an ear out for Frankfurt Frank. He surely got the Funk!

Lord Echo is an eccentric and reclusive musician/producer based in Wellington, New Zealand. He played in The Recloose Band and after his debut solo album “Melodies” he has returned with his latest project entitled “Curiosities”. His music is a blend of Funk, Disco‐primed Reggae, futuristic Soul and timeless African rhythms.
