Lots of new music droppin’ left and right, but since I’m not feeling any of it I decided to post something from a few weeks ago. Solid song from Gensu Dean featuring Olivier Daysoul entitled “Wantchu”. This on is available on 7″ vinyl at the Mello Music Group shop or downloadable in digital format for free on Bandcamp.

Sorry for slacking on these Slept on Sundays lately, but here is an oldie but goodie of Pharoahe Monch‘s “Desire” album from 2007. Most of you guys probably have this on repeat already, but I bet a few of you might have been snoozing on this. One of my all time favorites of this album is “So Good” which I put in one of the Glimmering Fractions mixes a while back. Enjoy this sultry jam and enjoy the weather.

Smokin’ new duo that goes by the name of OZ is on some silly laid back vibe and got Phife Dawg from A Tribe Called Ques as a featuring artist. Good ass Hip Hop music “You Ain’t Hip” to yet. German producer IAMNOBODI recently dropped this bouncy remix of Quadron‘s “Average Fruit”. Normally we don’t go nuts for remixes, but I’d like to hear this at the club from time to time. No info at this point about how to get this track, but for now you’ll have to do with a stream.

One of our favorite new Hip Hop duo’s used to be Blu & Exile. Now over the years things changed. Blu got signed, dropped a lot of mediocre projects and all the while we where hoping for Batman & Robin to join forces once more. Well that time is now! Back with their new “Maybe One Day” EP on Dirty Science/Fat Beats, they managed to pull another beauty out of the hat. The title track featuring Black Spade is simply gorgeous and I hope more music like this will be made in the future. A full-length album should be on it’s way so let’s keep them fingers crossed. Strong Arm Steady & Statik Selektah are about to release their “Stereotype” album on Stones Throw Records. As a warm up they are giving away 6 free tracks from the album (freebie style). The full-length version drops August 14th, but pre-orders are already available in the Stones Throw shop. Back in 2002 they released their “Thrills” album featuring artists such as M, Sinclair, N’dea Davenport, Tania Maria and Phife Dawg. Just when I was thinking ‘what ever happened to’…Ab drops his new “Prologue” Vol. 1 release. Normally we’re not that big on an all cover projects, but in this case Ab and Black Milk really nailed it.
