Can’t believe what a week this has been. Must be an omen or something, because I’m getting goosebumps right here. I’m now sure that 2012 will be one hell of a year musically. London-beast producer (yes the spelling is correct) Eric Lau dropping some crazy new shit in the form of “Yesterday” featuring Guilty Simpson, Fatima and Olivier Daysoul. Couple of hours ago Slakah the Beatchild dropped a laid back jazzy remix of Drake’s “Headlines”. Now I have nothing with or against Drake and quite honestly I just think this sounds pretty good as a whole. I gave it some thought, but decided to post a little something about the new Finest Ego compilation anyway. In all honesty this is one of the least interesting ones I’ve heard so far though. Since it was time for Germany, Austria and Switzerland to represent I had high hopes, but could only find a few mediocre productions on here. Might just be me being hard to please, but all I wanted to share with you guys was this beat from Chief. Much appreciation for the free download, but I hope in 2012 the compilations get better quality wise. Personally I’d rather hear 10 amazing productions than 33 mediocre ones. Free downloads available up till Jan. 6th so get it while it lasts.

I knew Finale and Muhsinah where on there, but now I finally know the title of this track…“Keep Transit”. Low Budget Crew member RoddyRod is releasing his “Oakwood Grain II” album next year on Nature Sounds in physical form while it’s already available in digital form as of today on as well as on Bandcamp. Astronote has been delivering top notch quality productions for many years and eventho we’re really late with this one we do want to share his latest “Weapon Of The Future” album in case you’ve missed it. Downloaded the album last week, but never got around to listening to it. I must say I quite enjoy some of these cuts featuring Edo G, Buff1, Dynas, Rasco and T Calmese.
