Sorry for slacking on these Slept on Sundays lately, but here is an oldie but goodie of Pharoahe Monch‘s “Desire” album from 2007. Most of you guys probably have this on repeat already, but I bet a few of you might have been snoozing on this. One of my all time favorites of this album is “So Good” which I put in one of the Glimmering Fractions mixes a while back. Enjoy this sultry jam and enjoy the weather.

On this new project Spraggon has drawn together a host of familiar names and new faces, such as Spikey Tee, Ben White, Matt Short and Julien Dyne. While vocalists such as Olivier Daysoul, L.A. Mitchell, Ned Worboys and Miles Bonny all lend vocals to the project. The “Low and behold, High and Beyond” album is currently available on Sola Rosa’s bandcamp page.

A golden era Hip Hop producer and a platinum era Jazz legend together on BBE’s “The Beat Generation”. Now that’s something to smile about. Enjoy the sun a little bit extra today while listening to this..

They are releasing their “The Starship Connection” EP September 18th on Frite Nite and we can tell you it’s gonna be crackin’. If you’ve been listening to our mixes from time to time, you must have heard a few exclusive cuts on there. XLR8R was kind enough to share a free download of “More Than Just A Dream” to get you warmed up for the Funk. Good news, because “Just Like Magic” has ‘thunder thighs’ Amalia featuring on the vocal tip!

The title track sounds okay, but personally we’re digging the track “West 2 East” a lot more. Just a short snippet of what you can expect from this vinyl EP which is available on Boomkat. If you visit you can purchase the title track as a single, but the rest is only available on vinyl at the moment.

Over two years ago we hosted B. Lewis‘ “Mercury Backburner” beat tape. This was the first time a release was ever ‘endorsed by Moovmnt’. As a matter of fact “Love Latency” still has the most plays on our Soundcloud. Now this week Brad released his latest effort “A Lion’s Aperture” on his own bandcamp. You can listen to two of our favorite tracks below..

Yesterday I was listening to this song over and over, so today I decided this is a definite Slept on Sundays jam!

Good ass Hip Hop music “You Ain’t Hip” to yet. One thing is sure, me and Nev are vibin’ out to this one like you wouldn’t believe. If you hurry you can still snatch a free download (while supplies last).

Normally we don’t go nuts for remixes, but I’d like to hear this at the club from time to time. No info at this point about how to get this track, but for now you’ll have to do with a stream.
