Our new years resolution is focussing more on top notch, warm sounding music this year. Of course this also applies to beats and other electronic music. Now if you ask me Mr .Dibiase, back with  “Driftin Off” this time, has always been coming with that quality sounds so sit back and soak up this preview joint of the new Producer#3 Part 3 EP coming out on Fat City Recordings Feb. 20th.

Just received a message from Alisson Fluente aka Finese with the news he just uploaded a brand new joint called “Lembranças” which no doubt translates into something like memories. Now I hear that Florianópolis (Brazil) is one of the most beautiful places to visit, so not a big surprise where the inspiration came from. Just the kinda groove we love to hear on here, so peep it!

Tokyo-based Ovall is spiritual jazz/hip hop band that kinda flew under our radar. The band consists of the following members: Shingo Suzuki (bass/keyboard), Mabanua (drums) and Shingo Sekiguchi (guitar). Their first, “Heart Fever” EP, fuses live instruments with the art of sampling to come out sounding quite interesting. We wanted to share this Slept on Sundays joint “Beautiful Love”, of their debut EP released on Origami Productions which is available on in case you were wondering.

Interesting collaboration between Georgia Anne Muldrow and the mad professor of beats Madlib. Their new album is called “Seeds” and will be releasing March 27 on SomeOthaShip Connect. The title song has that 70’s Blaxploitation vibe to it with sick soulful horns, ill strings and Georgia’s distinctive voice. Eventhough the single, “Seeds”, won’t be out until Feb 14 on Fat Beats, an exclusive free download was made available thanks to Rolling Stone.

Can’t believe what a week this has been. Must be an omen or something, because I’m getting goosebumps right here. I’m now sure that 2012 will be one hell of a year musically. London-beast producer (yes the spelling is correct) Eric Lau dropping some crazy new shit in the form of “Yesterday” featuring Guilty Simpson, Fatima and Olivier Daysoul. This past July, the Do-Over crew spent a week in the Philippines for a Manila edition of their now world renown backyard party. Alongside the usual crew they brought Beat Junkie Rhettmatic as well as Bugz in the Attic’s Daz-I-Kue along for the ride. The two teamed up with local producer Red-I and spent their spare time on the trip making music together. The result? A free download entitled The Do-Over Manila EP, featuring a variety of instrumental tracks by the three collectively as well as individually. I must admit that the download process is a bit of a hassle, but if you like what you hear it’s a small price to pay. Check it out on The Do-Over’s website.
