New song from Erik Rico called “My Prayer” on LifeNotes music. The song was written and recorded years ago and has now found it’s way to you and is available on as we speak.
Erik Rico – My Prayer

Seeing it’s been pretty quiet the last days, I thought it might be an idea to let ya’ll know this guy hasn’t been sitting still. Go ahead and listen to some new music he’s been working. Sounds kinda promising if you ask and I’m curious to hear more in the future!

[audio:http://www.moovmnt.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/Cesar-Sumthing-prod.-by-Mez-MOOVMNT.mp3]Interesting collaboration between Georgia Anne Muldrow and the mad professor of beats Madlib. Their new album is called “Seeds” and will be releasing March 27 on SomeOthaShip Connect. The title song has that 70’s Blaxploitation vibe to it with sick soulful horns, ill strings and Georgia’s distinctive voice. Eventhough the single, “Seeds”, won’t be out until Feb 14 on Fat Beats, an exclusive free download was made available thanks to Rolling Stone.

First all this wonderful music from Robert Glasper Experiment and now this new song from Boddhi Sativa entitled “From Another World” featuring none other than Vikter Duplaix. I know you all have been dying for some new sexy stuff from this guy…am I right? Well here it is. Open your ears, sit back and enjoy!

We told you get his incredible “Preface” EP on Ho Tep. Here’s another reason why you should go and buy this on vinyl. Miracle worker fLako remixed “Rubies & Diamonds” and this song is exclusively for people who bought the 12″. Try and look for it at your local records shop, but in case it’s out of stock you’ll have to do with a low bitrate stream for now. Just found a few more of these in stock over at Kudos Records…hurry up and buy (no Menace 2 Society)!

The first songs of Robert Glasper‘s upcoming “Black Radio” album set to release February 28th on Blue Note Records. I know quite some people who have been feenin’ for this one and so I am happy to be able to give you “Move Love” featuring King and “Afro Blue” featuring Erykah Badu. Doesn’t get any better than this if you ask me! Make sure you grab that free download at www.robertglasper.com and let us know how crazy this is. Am I the only one going nuts here?!?? Fuck this album is going to be bananas man. Props to Bamalovesoul for “Afro Blue”.

Then I heard some drafts of his “Black Gold” EP and was less impressed, for it was rather short and didn’t have that same killer vibe to it that Gravity had. Still I think you’ll enjoy the title cut and the good news is that the first 1200 people get a free download. You can either pay $0 or if you like, pay a little extra and show some love. Not a bad way to start out the new year..

Couple of hours ago Slakah the Beatchild dropped a laid back jazzy remix of Drake’s “Headlines”. Now I have nothing with or against Drake and quite honestly I just think this sounds pretty good as a whole. Thought I’d share this free download with you guys since it’s kinda slow at the moment in music land. You might also want to check out The Art of Fresh project with D.O. which is available as a free download as well!
Drake – Headlines (Beatchild’s Nostalgia Remix)
[audio:http://www.moovmnt.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/Drake-Headlines-Beatchilds-Nostalgia-Remix-MOOVMNT.mp3]The Moovmnt crew wishes a merry Christmas to each and everyone. This Slept on Sundays Santa is dedicated to a song that has been a big favorite of mine for a few years. It’s from Emanative and is called “When On Earth” (Rapson Remix). The original came out as a 7″ on Futuristica Music and later on the “Time” album in 2010. Please enjoy this wonderful day and we hope this piece of music will help make that day just a little bit better. In case you’d like to buy this as a present for youself head on over to and cop that.
